Five-time Grammy Award winner and “towering figure of cross-cultural music” (New Yorker), Angélique Kidjo returns to the Center for the Arts following her electrifying 2025 performance. A global icon from Benin, West Africa, and the most awarded African solo artist, Kidjo brings a dynamic live show shaped by four decades of music-making. Blending West African traditions with R&B, funk, jazz, and Latin influences, her sound is both deeply rooted and internationally celebrated. With 18 albums and collaborations spanning artists from Peter Gabriel to Pharrell toYo-Yo Ma, her artistry continues to inspire audiences worldwide. As NPR declares, she is “Africa’s greatest living diva.” Kidjo offers a simpler invitation: “Bring your dancing shoes.”
