It will remain on view through Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On May 4, the School of Art will also host a closing reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Admissions to the Ascent exhibition is free and open to the general public during viewing hours as well as the closing reception.

This biannual Art and Design Senior Show is a visual arts showcase featuring students’ capstone projects that they have worked on for three months. In previous years, projects featured included large sculptures, murals, digital media, consumer project design, and full-scale installations. In the upcoming showcase, over 100 graduating seniors with degrees in Art and Visual Technology will share their artistic perspectives utilizing a variety of mediums, including studio art, graphic design, animation, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, and new media. The students have chosen the title, Ascent, because it is a combination of dedication and perseverance. This exhibition reflects the students’ elevation to new heights. Despite the challenges, graduating seniors continue to move upwards toward new beginnings and opportunities.
