Back by popular demand! In this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop led by Emily Fasick, art educator and program assistant for the Veterans and the Arts Initiative at George Mason University, participants will use hammers to skillfully press leaves, flowers, and other plant parts onto tea towels to design their own botanical fabric prints. Tataki zome is the technique of crushing real flowers and leaves onto fabric to create abstract patterns using botanical dyes. All materials and instruction will be provided.
