Registration for this workshop has closed.

Eco-Graphic Arts uses portable art-making as a catalyst for creating shared understanding. Tools and materials are used to create artwork through which participants can process their personal experiences. Workshop techniques feature cyanotypes (sun prints) with watercolor, and include the use of locally sourced natural materials and plants. The plants are arranged on top of paper treated with a cyanotype solution and exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. Participants will then embellish their images using watercolors and drawing materials. Patrick Sargent, a USAF Veteran, artist, and adjunct faculty in George Mason University’s School of Art guides participants through these practices. This workshop series is FREE and open to Veterans, Servicemembers, military family members, and military caregivers; children ages 12 and up may participate alongside a parent/guardian. Space is limited.

Please reference our information sheet for details, including minimum age requirement and community policies regarding workshops.
