Eco-Graphic Arts: Eco-Prints Workshops

Registration for this workshop has closed.
Eco-Graphic Arts uses portable art-making as a catalyst for creating shared understanding. Tools and materials are used to create artwork through which participants can process their personal experiences. Workshop techniques feature eco-printing from plants and organic matter. Patrick Sargent, a USAF Veteran, artist, and adjunct faculty in George Mason University’s School of Art guides participants through these practices. Locally sourced plant materials are bound together with various hand-made and commercial papers and then cooked to transfer the pigments and shapes to the paper. This workshop series is FREE and open to Veterans, Servicemembers, military family members, and military caregivers; children ages 12 and up may participate alongside a parent/guardian. Space is limited.
Please reference our information sheet for details, including minimum age requirement and community policies regarding workshops.
