How Do I Get Free Student Tickets?

Most ticketed in-person events presented by presented by the Center for the Arts, the Hylton Center, or the College of Visual and Performing Arts will have a set quantity of free student tickets available.

Registration for free student tickets will be offered online through the Mason360 platform, or in-person at the Ticket Offices during regular business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., to any eligible George Mason student beginning two Tuesdays prior to each event. Registration ends at least three hours prior to the event’s start time or when the event reaches capacity.

What should I do if the registration is full?

If the registration is full, visit the Ticket Office with your George Mason ID. A limited number of free student tickets are available at the Ticket Office, and if those have run out, student discounts may be available.

Where do I pick up my tickets?

Free student tickets must be picked up in person from the Ticket Office at the location specified on the event registration on the day of the event, beginning one hour prior to the event. Students must bring their valid George Mason ID when picking up tickets.

How Many Tickets Can I Get?
Eligible George Mason students may request 1 or 2 tickets per event, depending on availability. The number of tickets available for each event is noted on the Free Student Ticket Calendar and Mason360 registration page. If an event has multiple performances with different dates/time, students may only register for one performance of the same title. The Ticket Office reserves the right to release tickets if a student holds multiple registrations for the same title.

What should I do if I need to buy another ticket?

George Mason students may also buy one discounted companion ticket for most events in the Great Performances at George Mason season and Hylton Presents season by visiting the Ticket Office. Additional tickets are available at full price.

Student-priced tickets are available for most events offered by the academic units of the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Please visit the Ticket Office with your George Mason ID as soon as possible. A limited number of free student tickets are available at the Ticket Office for you to reserve with your purchased ticket. The Ticket Office will release your Mason360 registration.
