FAQs About Reserving your Tickets:

Who is Eligible?

All George Mason University students carrying paid credit hours are eligible for free student tickets. Students participating in Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), Mason’s Senior Citizen Waiver Program, or the audit program are not eligible to receive free tickets.

How Do I Get Free Student Tickets?

Most ticketed in-person events presented by presented by the Center for the Arts, the Hylton Center, or the College of Visual and Performing Arts will have a set quantity of free student tickets available.

Registration for free student tickets will be offered online through the Mason360 platform, or in-person at the Ticket Offices during regular business hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., to any eligible Mason student beginning two Tuesdays prior to each event. Registration ends at least three hours prior to the event’s start time or when the event reaches capacity.

If the registration is full, visit the Ticket Office with your Mason ID. A limited number of free student tickets are available at the Ticket Office, and if those have run out, student discounts may be available.

Free student tickets must be picked up in person from the Ticket Office at the location specified on the event registration on the day of the event, beginning one hour prior to the event. Students must bring their valid Mason ID when picking up tickets.

How Many Tickets Can I Get?
Eligible Mason students may request 1 or 2 tickets per event, depending on availability. The number of tickets available for each event is noted on the Free Student Ticket Calendar and Mason360 registration page. If an event has multiple performances with different dates/time, students may only register for one performance of the same title. The Ticket Office reserves the right to release tickets if a student holds multiple registrations for the same title.

Mason students may also buy one discounted companion ticket for most events in the Great Performances at Mason season and Hylton Presents season by visiting the Ticket Office. Additional tickets are available at full price.

Student-priced tickets are available for most events offered by the academic units of the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

What if I want to sit with my friends?

For events at the Center for the Arts, students wishing to sit together must pick up tickets from Will Call together and request adjacent seats when picking up tickets from Will Call.

For events at the Hylton Center, students wishing to sit together must contact the Hylton Center Ticket Office to make arrangements prior to the performance ((voice) 703-993-7700, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.).

What if I can't use my tickets?

If you know you will not be attending a performance in advance, please release your registration on Mason360 so that another student may sign up. Once student tickets are issued directly from the Ticket Offices, they cannot be exchanged for other seat locations or performance dates. General admission tickets cannot be reprinted. Student tickets may not be resold. Tickets will not be honored if they are resold.
