Three powerhouse ensembles come together in song to create an enlightening experience of joy, beauty, and community. This one-night-only concert combines a full orchestra and 250 adult and youth singers and features a major work by acclaimed choral composer Dan Forrest, LUX: The Dawn From On High. Additional selections include “Lacrimosa” from Mozart’s Requiem; the theme song for the video game Civilization IV; and the epic “O Fortuna” from Orff’s Carmina Burana. Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra, Gainesville Community Choir, and the South Loudoun Youth Chorale aim to inspire their members and audiences to appreciate the value of high-quality live performance, music education, and meaningful music collaborations.
