Interstitial is a showcase of recent creative research from the MFA program at George Mason University’s School of Art. The title refers to spaces of transition or being in-between, where boundaries blur and new possibilities emerge. The exhibition includes a range of projects and investigations across disciplinary boundaries from current MFA candidates Mackenzie Hoffman, Liz Louise Johnson, Steven Luu, Traci Reynolds, and Angela Terry. The works presented explore a variety of themes and subject matter including memory and loss, physical and emotional healing, mythology and metamorphosis, and the intersections of theory and practice.
