The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra debuts at the Center for the Arts with an exhilarating program including returning audience favorite, “phenom” (San Francisco Chronicle) pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason. Celebrated for its conductorless performances and deeply collaborative artistry, Orpheus has spent more than 50 years bringing fresh energy and imagination to classical music through vibrant partnerships with guest artists. “Playing with perfect unanimity, their performances have polish and spirit and display an infectious love for making music” (The New York Times). British pianist Kanneh-Mason, an ECHO Rising Star and recipient of the coveted Leonard Bernstein Award, joins Orpheus for a masterful performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 27.
