Tickets are available online or in person at the Hylton Center Ticket Office starting August 4, 2026 at 10 a.m.
Celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America alongside The U.S. Army Field Band as the ensemble marks its own 80th anniversary in this stirring concert experience presented in collaboration with George Mason University’s Veterans and the Arts Initiative. Don’t miss The U.S. Army Field Band’s Hylton Center debut, featuring multiple ensembles of the Field Band, including the Concert Band, the Soldier’s Chorus, Six-String Soldiers, and the Jazz Ambassadors. As the premier musical ambassadors for the United States Army, this internationally acclaimed organization travels thousands of miles each year presenting engaging music and storytelling to enthusiastic audiences throughout the nation and abroad. Audiences of all ages will delight in a concert of diverse musical repertoire that fosters the support of the American people for members of the armed forces, strengthens bonds with allies, and supports diplomatic efforts around the world. From legendary works featuring the band and chorus, to include Pines of Rome and the finale of Beethoven’s Ninth, to popular favorites performed by the Jazz Ambassadors and Six-String Soldiers, the show truly showcases the best of American military music performance and, with the Hylton debut of the Army Rappers, the potential for musical innovation.
The United States Army Field Band has earned national recognition for productions including the Grammy Award-winning The Soundtrack of the American Soldier, the Emmy Award-winning Songs of Service, and the nationally televised annual Veterans Day program Salute to Service. It has also performed with the Boston Pops and National Symphony Orchestra, among others, has appeared at the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks, and reached millions through national broadcasts and participation at events including the Super Bowl and presidential inaugural festivities.
Tickets for this performance are free and general admission (limit four tickets per order). Each patron must have a ticket to attend. For group tickets (maximum 10), please contact the Hylton Center Ticket Office by phone at 703-993-7700.
